“The purpose of this book is to not only prove my direct parental line, but also to tell the story of their lives. I studied the history surrounding them and appropriately melded facts into what I knew of their whereabouts. The history, both national and personal, tells a story that all can appreciate and enjoy. A second purpose of this book is to document what I learned of the early generations of my family which differs from other researchers. Some of what has been documented and perpetuated in other accounts of the early generations is not sourced and is speculative. Bob and Donna Jean Ford spent years meticulously researching this Orr family and identified several corrections to these earlier accounts, but I find the errors too many and a rewrite is in order.” – J.
