Vanessa, my uncle Bob, your grandfather, was my mother's brother, that would make us second cousins. I know Bob was the mayor of Santa Anna at one time , lived in Anaheim and had I believe 5 children. I only met Bob Junior once when he was passing thru Hot Springs,AR on his way to a job with the Nat'l Park Service at Harper's Fairy (I believe). Bob Sr. is buried in Hot Springs. I always missed not knowing and sharing with your branch of the family. Shannon was in touch with you, she is my daughter from my previous marriage. A lot of the info shared by Mr. Rowland is new to me, some info I was aware of but damn if I wasn't floored to learn many of the facts he gave. Hope you receive this and I can hear back from you. God Bless.

Shannon, this is Keith, I am learning more about the goings on in the family too .. much of this as kids we were protected from. Sometimes there were occasions that a little would be over heard that mom and others, uncles and aunts, didn't know we heard. I always wanted to do and be as good as I could in life. In spit of failures in life being a soldier and state trooper meant a great deal to me. I have forever and always loved my family and hope that you feel the same way. Grand ma Grace was the good one and tried to stop her sister from harming your great grand mother Mary Alice Nichols and the rest of the family. Like being married to the wrong person memories of the past are sometimes just better forgotten and lived beyond. Know you are thought of often and always loved. We live in Mena. AR now, your step sisters Makayla Grace and Mary Alice are wonderful kids and are G&T group in school. God Bless you and yours

I was looking through WikiTree and decided to look up Clyde Rowland's two GGG uncles who had become orphans like Clyde's GGGrandfather. The two uncles changed their last name to Roland and Clyde's GGGrandfather changed his to Rowland. There was a Y active after the two uncles names and clicking on it said something about testing them to confirm a family relationship. I find on Ancestry that the two uncles are given parents with the Roland name and maybe this will help if I can use Clyde's DNA to make a connection. I hope this makes sense.
